Privacy policy

Effective 25 September 2026 · Applies to the Pilltomo app for Android and to this website.

The short version

• Pilltomo does not collect any personal data. We never receive what you enter into the app.
• Everything you add — medicines, schedules, dose history — is stored only on your phone.
• The app has no internet access, no account, no ads, no analytics and no third-party code.
• Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data from your phone.

1. Who we are

Pilltomo is made by Unworry, a trading name of Xrella Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16982335), registered office Union House, 111 New Union Street, Coventry, CV1 2NT. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Xrella Ltd.

For the small amount of personal data we do handle (described in sections 7–9), Xrella Ltd is the data controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). You can reach us at support@unworry.co.uk.

2. What the app stores — on your phone only

To remind you and keep your record, Pilltomo saves the following in a private database on your device:

• the medicines you add (name, type, dose amount, notes), their schedules, start and end dates, and reminder settings;
• your dose history: which doses were taken, skipped, snoozed or missed, and when;
• stock levels, if you choose to track them;
• the app's own settings.

This can include information about your health, such as which medicines you take. It is kept in the app's private storage on your phone, which Android's app sandbox protects from other apps. It is never sent to us or to anyone else — the app has no way to send it. We cannot see it, recover it or delete it for you, because we never have it.

3. What we don't do

• No account or sign-in, and no email address or phone number asked for.
• No internet permission. Pilltomo cannot connect to the internet, so it cannot upload, sync or share anything.
• No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
• No analytics, crash-reporting or tracking tools, and no other third-party code in the app.
• No location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files access.
• We never sell, rent or share your data — there is none to share.

4. Backups and new phones

Pilltomo switches off Android's automatic cloud backup, so your data is not copied to Google Drive or any other backup service. This keeps your health information on your phone alone.

The trade-off: if you uninstall the app, reset your phone, or move to a new phone, your Pilltomo data does not come with you. Uninstalling deletes it permanently.

5. Reminders and your lock screen

So that you can act on a reminder without unlocking your phone, Pilltomo's reminders normally show the medicine's name, the dose and its time — including on the lock screen, and for “Important” and “Critical” medicines as a full-screen reminder over it. Anyone who can see your phone's screen at that moment may see them. You can limit this in two ways:

• Hide medicine names (Pilltomo → Settings → Privacy). Reminders, alerts and the full-screen reminder then say “your medicine” — or a nickname you choose for that medicine — and leave out the dose amount. The real name still appears inside the app.
• Android's own setting. If you set your phone to hide sensitive notification content on the lock screen, Pilltomo's reminders show there without the medicine's name or dose, until you unlock.

6. Permissions the app asks for, and why

Each permission is there only to deliver reminders reliably. None of them gives the app access to personal information on your phone.

7. Google Play

You download Pilltomo through Google Play, which is run by Google under Google's own privacy policy. Google tells us things like how many people installed the app and, in the Play Console, gives us general statistics on the countries and Android versions it is used on.

If you have allowed your phone to share usage and diagnostics data, Google may also give us reports when the app crashes or stops responding: technical details such as the device model, Android version and the part of the code that failed. These reports are produced by Android and Google, not by Pilltomo; they are technical and are not designed to contain anything you entered into the app. We use them only to find and fix problems, which is in our legitimate interest in keeping the app reliable, and we don't try to identify anyone from them.

8. If you email us

If you contact us at support@unworry.co.uk, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply and help you, relying on our legitimate interest in answering your message. We keep support emails for up to two years after our last message with you, then delete them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Our email is hosted by our email provider, who processes it on our behalf. If that provider handles data outside the UK, it does so under safeguards recognised by UK law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

Contacting us is entirely optional — you never need to give us any information to use Pilltomo.

Please don't send us details of your medication unless you want to — we don't need them to help with the app.

9. This website

unworry.co.uk uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking, and loads nothing from other websites. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs — your IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to keep the site running and secure. We don't use these logs to identify or track anyone, and they are kept only as long as the host needs them for those purposes.

10. Security

The most effective protection is that your app data never leaves your phone: there is no server, account or copy for anyone to break into. On the phone, it sits in Pilltomo's private storage behind Android's app sandbox. Your phone's own security matters too, so we recommend a screen lock, which on most modern phones also means the phone's storage is encrypted.

The few things we do receive — support emails and Google's anonymous statistics — are kept in accounts protected by strong passwords and two-step verification, and accessed only to help you or improve the app.

11. Keeping and deleting data

• App data stays on your phone for as long as you keep it there. You can delete any dose, a medicine with its whole history, or everything at once by uninstalling Pilltomo or clearing its storage. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete.
• Support emails are kept for up to two years after our last message with you, then deleted — sooner if you ask.
• Google Play statistics and crash reports are kept by Google in the Play Console under Google's own retention periods.

12. Children

Pilltomo is intended for adults and for people managing medicines on someone's behalf. It is not directed at children. Because the app collects no personal data, it collects none from children either.

13. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data we hold about you, to object to its use, and to receive a copy of it.

• App data: it is entirely in your hands. You can edit or delete anything in the app, delete a medicine together with its history, or remove everything by uninstalling Pilltomo or clearing its storage in Android settings.
• Emails you sent us: write to support@unworry.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

We don't make any decisions about you by automated means, and we don't build profiles.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

14. Changes to this policy

If we change how Pilltomo handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the app. If a future version ever needed to collect data, we would say so clearly here and in the app first.
